Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
snipo turns long videos into short clips. Only use videos you own or are allowed to use. You are responsible for what you make and post. Free clips carry a watermark; paid plans remove it. We can suspend accounts that break these terms.
1. Who we are
snipo (the "service") is operated by snipo ("we", "us"). You can reach us at the contact address on this site.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What the service does
You give snipo a link to a public YouTube video. snipo reads the video and its captions, picks moments, cuts them into vertical clips, adds captions and a title, and lets you download the clips or post them to your own connected accounts.
Clip picking, scores, titles and captions are produced automatically, on some plans with the help of AI. They can be wrong. Check every clip before you publish it.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person or business per account. Do not share or resell access.
4. Videos and rights: your responsibility
Only submit videos that you own, or that you have permission or another legal right to copy, edit and republish. Submitting a link is your statement to us that you have that right.
- We do not check ownership and we do not give you any rights in other people's videos.
- You are solely responsible for the clips you make, download and post, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity and music rights, and the rules of the platform you post on.
- You keep whatever rights you have in your videos and clips. You give us permission to download, store, process and display them only as far as needed to run the service for you.
- If a claim is made against us because of a video you submitted or a clip you posted, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.
5. Copyright complaints
If you believe material made with snipo infringes your copyright, write to the contact address on this site with: the work concerned, where the material is, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act for them. We remove material and close accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
6. What you must not do
- Break the law or other people's rights, or make content that is hateful, harassing, sexually exploits anyone, or deceives people about who is speaking.
- Get around plan limits, the watermark, or access controls; create accounts in bulk; or share paid access.
- Scrape, overload, probe or attack the service, or use it to build a competing dataset or product.
- Use the service in a way that breaks the terms of YouTube, TikTok or any other platform involved.
7. Connected platforms
snipo uses YouTube API Services to post clips to your channel. By using those features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Posting to TikTok is subject to TikTok's terms and its Music Usage Confirmation.
Connecting an account is optional and you can disconnect at any time in Settings. Those platforms decide whether a post is accepted, how it is shown and whether it stays up. We are not responsible for their decisions, limits or outages. A scheduled post can fail, for example if the platform refuses it or the connection has expired; check that important posts went out.
8. Plans and payment
- The Free plan has monthly limits and puts a snipo watermark on clips. Limits are shown on the Pricing page and may change.
- Clip packs and single-clip watermark removal are one-off purchases, not subscriptions. Pack clips do not expire while your account exists, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are used after your free monthly clips. Clips earned by inviting people work the same way; we may withhold or remove them where invites are faked.
- Paid plans, when on sale, are billed in advance each month or each year and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay and include what each plan contains at that time.
- You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.
- We may change prices or plan contents for future periods and will tell you beforehand. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
9. Storage and availability
Source videos are deleted from our servers shortly after processing. Finished clips are kept so you can reopen them, but snipo is not a backup service: download anything you want to keep. We may remove stored files after a period of inactivity or when an account is closed.
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. Features can change or be withdrawn.
10. Our content
The snipo name, logo, site and software belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. On the Free plan the watermark must stay on the clip.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or is required to be closed by law. Where reasonable we will warn you first.
12. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost reach or views, or indirect or consequential loss.
Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £50 if greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established. If you are a consumer you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there. Please contact us first at the contact address on this site; most problems can be solved quickly that way.
