Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
We collect what is needed to run snipo: your account details, the videos you submit, the clips you make, and the connections you choose to add. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers. You can ask for a copy or for deletion at any time.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is snipo . Contact for anything in this policy: the contact address on this site.
2. What we collect and why

| Technical: IP address, browser type, time of request, error logs | Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fix faults | Legitimate interest |
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not make decisions about you that have legal effect by automated means.
3. YouTube and Google
snipo uses YouTube API Services. If you connect your channel, snipo asks only for permission to upload videos. It cannot read your channel, your videos, your comments or any other Google data.
- We store the access token privately on our servers and use it only to upload the clips you choose to post.
- We do not share it with anyone, do not use it for advertising and do not use Google data to train AI models.
- You can remove the connection in snipo under Settings, Account, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the token from our systems.
- Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. TikTok
If you connect TikTok, snipo asks for your basic profile (to show which account you are posting to) and permission to publish videos. The token is stored privately, used only for the posts you ask for, and deleted when you disconnect in Settings or remove snipo in the TikTok app under Settings, Security and permissions, Manage app permissions.
5. Who we share data with
Only the services needed to run snipo, each acting on our instructions or as an independent provider you chose to connect:
- Supabase: account sign-in and database hosting.
- Groq: on plans with AI clip picking, the transcript text of your video is sent to be analysed. No account details are sent with it.
- Google / YouTube and TikTok: reading the public video you link to; uploading the clips you choose to post.
- Stripe: payments, once paid plans are on sale.
- Hosting and content delivery providers: serving the site, its fonts and scripts, which involves your IP address.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others. We do not sell personal data.
6. Transfers outside your country
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on safeguards recognised by law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Source videos: deleted from our servers within about 24 hours of processing.
- Clips, library and settings: until you delete them or your account is closed.
- Account details: until you ask us to delete the account, then removed within 30 days.
- Connected-account tokens: until you disconnect.
- Payment and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually six to ten years.
- Security logs: up to 90 days.
8. Storage on your device
snipo does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores a few items in your browser so the app works: your sign-in session, your settings, and which video you had open. Clearing your browser data removes them and signs you out.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, and send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to the contact address on this site; we answer within one month.
You can also complain to your data protection authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office, in the EU the authority of the country where you live.
10. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, passwords are stored only as hashes, access to stored data is restricted per account, and connection tokens are kept where the browser cannot read them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you as the law requires.
11. Children
snipo is not for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about significant changes by email or in the app.
